The game features two extremely accurate recreations of two tanks the US M1A1 Abrams and the German Leopard 2A4, each with excellent ballistics. In fact, the engine itself was written back in 1996 by a single programmer for the original version of Steel Beasts,so in some ways it quite impressive for what that one student did, but it really doesn't hold much value.However, a point which is often overlooked in today's world of 3D gaming graphics are not more important than gameplay, and thankfully Steel Beasts excels in the gameplay department. The graphics engine is very dated, looking like a 16bit graphics you saw on the SNES, looking worse than some new Game Boy Advance games.
